While this is an issue I hate to talk about, I am willing to try anything to get help with this. Starting back in November I’ve been having almost constant pain and discomfort in the rectal area. I have no insurance but I was able to get a colonoscopy which revealed polyps and an internal hemorrhoid. I know surgery is an option but I know things won’t be the same if I get that done. Any real tips would be helpful. I have a great sense of humor but this is serious so please spare the sarcasm.

Also having an internal H, removed isnt very invasive it is usually cauterized while doing a colonoscopy, and there arent many nerves in that spot in your body, so it wont be overly painfull. Talk to your doc about ALL of your options.

I would try a high fiber diet for atleast one month and see if there are any changes, you may not need surgery after all!

My mom has internal hemorrhoids and she is in pain right now. Does anyone know anything to help. Also my mom is trying to push it back in even though I told her not to, is that at all safe?

Im 7 months pregnant and ever since i got preggo i havent been able to have anal sex due to hemorrhoids. The ones on the outside have gone down so much they are almost non-existent but I think i may have a problem with internal. I’ve had haemmorhoids and i know the feeling but anal sex might be too rough now your 7 months pregnant go to your GP for treatment i’ve had a cream and that cleared up in couple of days about 3 days at the most. Do it vaginally for now till it’s all cleared up.

I just got a colonoscopy today and all the results were normal. It showed a normal study but it also mentioned Internal Hemorrhoids. Can somebody explain me what does this mean? OK, I am 21 and they told me the same thing about 6 months ago. From what I understood as long as they don’t hurt it won’t do anything to you..but don’t strain at all or they will flare up and it will really hurt. Take more baths and eat more fiber to prevent them from hurting.

I’ve been diagnosed with an internal hemorrhoid about few months ago. The doctor only gave me a Special Dieting List(the one where it indicates what you "can" and "can not" eat). Nothings else. I only weigh 140 Lbs. And what’s more he insists that there is no cure for this type of hemorrhoid.

Is anyone out there, who has/had internal hemorrhoid, knows how to cure or possibly prevent further enlargement of it. Only actual experiences. Irrelevant answers will be reported. Thank You.

Some days though, like today, after several trips to the bathroom, they are giving me more discomfort. Then I’ll be ok for several days. Use TUCKS wipes after you move your bowels that helps with the hemorrhoids. The cream helps cools it. Of course th suppositories work too. Most importantly is to eat fiber in your diet which makes you go easier too, and fiber pills one in the morning and one a night works too.

For life, if you take care of your body with fiber, and not let the bowels get hard, then you will be fine if you take care of it, but hemorrhoids are a lifetime thing.

Surgery is the last resort for bad hemorrhoids.

Oh yes – they can snip them off – probably burn them shut now with an electric scalpel. They also put little rubber bands around them which kills them and they drop off.

Hemorrhoids are broken veins around your butthole – they come from you holding your breath and bearing down while going to the john – they also are caused by poor diet – not enough water – and then some people just seem prone to them.

probably more fiber would be good – you can also take Metamucel (or the store equivalent which would be cheaper) – that’s a sort of slippery seed which makes going to the bathroom easier.

A tear in the wall of the butthole is called "fissure" – it’s REALLY bad – you don’t want that one. You can read up on all this online, I’m sure. The best thing to do is avoid things which make your blood pressure spike up – like lifting huge weights or holding your breath while going to the john. All these things cause the blood pressure to rise sharply and this blood pressure is then dumped onto the Hemorrhoidal veins around the butthole – and then they rupture!!! and a big clot forms and the rest you know about.

Study up on it – you can probably get away from these things completely over time.

Other conditions with symptoms similar to hemorrhoids include anal fissures, anal fistulae, colon polyps, rectal prolapse, and inflammatory bowel disease.

I had a baby last November and since I have given birth I have had internal hemorrhoids. I have had a colonoscopy and that is what they said it was. I was drinking the powder metamucil and that was working well. I think I am pregnant again because I very recently got very constipated again. I am hesitant to use the powder metamucil because of the aspertame if I am pregnant. I am wondering if the citrucel tablets are safe to use during pregnancy or flax seed? There’s a lot you can do to help with hemorrhoids before even getting to the question of supplements. First, make sure you’re getting a decent amount of walking in per day. Thirty minutes once a day of walking, along with getting up and walking around a bit every two hours, can really help with hemorrhoids.

Second, make sure you’re getting between 25 and 30 grams of dietary fiber through fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans before looking into supplements. If you can get that much dietary fiber, you might not need them, and you’ll be getting great nutrition besides. Don’t forget to drink enough water!

Third, if you do need a fiber supplement, flax seed or psyllium seed should both be fine. Check to make sure they don’t have any additives. Fiber itself doesn’t get into your bloodstream, so it doesn’t directly affect the baby. The aspartame in Metamucil is just there to make it taste more appealing, not to perform any actual function.

Okay, this sucks and I’m only 18…too young for this lol. I think I’m about100% sure its an internal hemorrhoid. I’m going to be drinking lots of water and eating plenty of fiber, fruits, vegetables, cereals and stuff. But what medications can help me get rid of this faster?

I have painful internal hemorrhoids from having a baby 18 days ago. I’ve been taking stool softeners for 2 weeks and am beginning to wonder if they’re going to go away on their own or if I’m going to have to go into the doctor’s office. Does anyone have experience with this?

Mine went away on their own. They lasted about a month. It was simply the most awful pain ever. Your stool softner is not making you have diarrea is it? That can make them last longer… I got some preperation H wipes… but my doctor said that if they last a really long time then I would need surgery… But after awhile they did go away. Try drinking lots of water and going when you feel the need (I made it worse by waiting until I no longer could because of the pain)

During a recent colonoscopy my Dr. told me that I have internal hemorrhoids. I was so concerned about the polyp he also found, which turned out to be fine, that I didn’t think to ask him about the hemorrhoids. Now I’m wondering if this is something I should be concerned about.

Internal hemroids occur inside the anus and rectum, from where they can be uncomfortable and cause inflammation. The common symptom for internal hemorrhoid is bright red blood covering the stool, which comes out on toilet paper, or in the toilet bowl.

Prolapsed hemroids are internal hemorrhoids that protrude out the anus. When they become too bulky, due to clogging of the veins with blood, they begin to sag and consequently protrude from the anus. Many times, they are mistaken for external hemorrhoids.

Bleeding hemroids are a more severe form of internal hemorrhoids characterized by profuse bleeding. Profuse bleeding is regarded as the etreme stage, please consult a physician to make sure it is properly diagnosed. With bleeding, do not assume it is a hemorrhoid, it could be something totally different, which needs medical attention immediately.

I used to slightly bleed during a bowl movement and after sugery, they found out that i have internal hemorrhoids. I started taking metamucil to soften my stool and it has been working for me very well. And now the bleeding is coming back again….dunno know why. I work out to keep healthy always drink a lot of water. Never been pregnant and still pretty young. Does anyone know what could be aggravating my situation?

If your #2 is very, very soft then I can’t think why they’d bleed.

The next time you shower/bathe, after you wash, gently see/feel if they have come out. Don’t try to put them back in, just see if they’ve gotten bigger and come out.

Coughing/sneezing a lot, and doing squat exercises where you strain, can send blood to that area. Straining at #2 or even with #1 (pushing urine out) can cause problems, in terms of making hemorrhoids bigger.

If they ever hurt, or come out, soak in a very warm tub and Kegel a bunch of times. If you don’t Kegel, time to start now. Do sets of 5-10, and do them till you are sick of ‘em. If you do a tub bath 2-3 nights in a row and Kegel, it will help shrink them.

If you keep bleeding and don’t fix it or find a reason, go see the dr. It could be a polyp or something like that.

I have ordered some rue care oil, and have thought about harry’s hemroids are any of these credible.
Or what are some other soutions.

Please answer my question directly and dont tell me to eat healthier because I have done that 20-25 grams of fiber daily and 8-10 glasses of water daily.

Baloney to the surgery bit. The problem is your diet. They won’t go away but they will be completely no problem and you won’t even know they are there. I’ve only had one or two small flare ups in the past 42 years. You need to eat healthy. More dark green veggies, less red meat, more fish, fruit daily eaten alone. Eating smaller amounts too. A good multivitamin, and 1,000 mg vitamin C daily. Cut back on carbs. ***Eat more fiber.**** Talk to some health food enthusiast and you’ll catch on to a lifestyle change that will make you look and feel so much better. Good luck.

I went to the dr today and had an exam. He said I have some pretty bad internal hemorrhoids and I should pry have them removed. I’m going to my surgeon (the man who did my appendectomy a month ago) on january 13th and I want to know the pros and cons of surgery and what kind of surgery would it be? its serious and its painful i have heard i am not sure but if you are saying you hvae bad ones and they should be done then i would get couple opionions beforei went through that. its always best to hear from couple doctors. they would put you out and you would be inpatient i think maybe start as outpatient and then if its not good they will change it.

first i suggest not pushing so hard when going to the bathroom or when lifting weights so this will never happen again.

and it sounds like you do have it.. you really need to go to the doctor to see how far a long it is.. if they get big enough you will have to get them surgically removed.
in my horrible experience, i went to the doctor, she poked around my bottum a bit (so very uncomfortable) and told me it wasnt that bad n it was good i came in time. she told me to buy some stuff over the counter that you incert your butt. sounds bad i know but really it goes in really smooth. doesnt hurt at all. i guess its some kind of medicine.. it also helps the poo come out easier so you dont push and make the hemoroid worse. it went away after maybe less than 2 weeks of doing that.
