How long does it take for hemorrhoids to clear?

Thanks for returning to our site. If you haven't already done so, grab your free report that was written by someone like yourself that suffered from chronic hemorrhoids. She shares her 100% natural 2 day cure with you. So go ahead and get your copy HERE. Thanks again for visiting and hope to see you again soon!

I have a small hemorrhoid and it isn't too bothersome, just itchy. I just diagnosed it as a hemorrhoid today so I've taken the following precautions-i don't wipe(i rinse in the shower afterwards), plan to eat more fiber, and I'm using preparation H. Will it take more than a week or 2 to clear up? Also, with preparation H should I apply it after every bowel movement? And last….do most people consider hemorrhoids to be embarrasing like how people consider having diarrhea embarrasing?

You're doing everything right – good for you!

Some hemorrhoids don't go away, but they don't always cause symptoms, either.

You said you just diagnosed it today – did you see a doctor? If it is still bothering you after a week or so, I would consult a doctor to make sure it isn't something else.

I thought I had hemorrhoids and ignored the pain for over a year, and I ended up needing surgery for an anal fissure and a sphincterotomy (I won't go through the gruesome details about that one!). Bottom line (no pun intended) – don't wait if it's not better!

Hemorrhoids follow no pattern. They can clear up on their own, get worse, bleed, itch, and when advanced interfer with the quality of your life. Warm weather, standing on hard floors can really make them throb. Seems that you are on the right track for the small itchy ones. If they become bothersome find a Proctologist, they band them. That causes some pain for a day, but the hemorroids clear up completely. I went to three Md.s before being refered to a proctologist. What a blessing to be pain and itch free. Hope yours stay manageable, but do not be embarrased to seek treatment if not.
